Patrice Louvet

Patrice Louvet was born in Saint Cloud, France and grew up in France and the US (Princeton, NJ). He is married with 2 children, Thomas and Clara. His wife, Christine is a Harvard MBA with a career that has spanned P&G and Luxury Marketing at the Richemont Group (Cartier, Roger Dubuis).

Patrice graduated from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris in 1986. He received his MBA from the University of Illinois, graduating in 1987. While studying, he also served as Marketing Professor for undergrads and published a book entitled “Overcoming barriers to entering the US Market” during his tenure.

Before joining Procter & Gamble in January 1989, Patrice spent one and half years in the French Navy as an Officer and Aide de Camp of an Admiral.

Patrice has now been with Procter & Gamble for over 20 years. During that time, he has worked in 3 different continents (US, Europe and Asia) and on a variety of different businesses ranging from Laundry detergents to diapers to Haircare and high end fragrances and skin care. He has been working in the Beauty Industry for 15 years. He successfully led several of P&G’s Hair Care businesses in multiple regions. In 1999, he became the Global Marketing Director for Pantene, the # 1 Hair care brand globally, and led a very successful transformation of the brand. In 2002, Patrice was appointed General Manager for Hair care and Health care for North East Asia (NEA), based in Kobe, Japan. During his 3 years in Japan, he led the turn-around of P&G’s NEA Hair care business, achieving record results in both Japan and Korea.

In 2004, Patrice returned to North America where he was appointed Vice President Global Hair Colorants, running the acquired Clairol and Wella Retail Color businesses out of Stamford, Connecticut. He drove a major transformation of the business and the organization. In 2008, Patrice transferred back to Europe to become Vice President, Future Strategy and Growth, Global Prestige, based out of Geneva. After 9 months in the Vice President role, Patrice was appointed President, Global Prestige. The Prestige division is a leading global Prestige Beauty player with revenues of around 3.5 Billion dollars. The division includes Fine Fragrances, Skin Care, Cosmetics, Hair Care and Grooming businesses. Key brands in the portfolio are Hugo Boss, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Lacoste as well as SK II, the leading prestige Skin care brand in Asia and recent acquisitions Fekkai and The Art of Shaving, Zirh. In September, Patrice was appointed President, Global Shave Care in charge of Gillette, Venus and The Art of Shaving business and relocated to the World Shaving Headquarters at Gillette in South Boston, MA.

A sports enthusiast, Patrice practices tennis, skiing, sailing, golf and soccer. His hobbies include wine tasting, movies, reading and travel.
